The rims and tow hooks are coated in the same Brass Monkey color as the factory Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392. The Jeep Scrambler 392 concept rides on special 20-inch rims wrapped in 40-inch tyres. New front and rear lightweight bumpers, as well as redesigned fender flares, increase clearance for a wider tyre and wheel combination. The modification highlights the Scrambler's new two-door appearance with an open-air freewheeling personality. Since a V-8 engine was never available in the CJ-8, the 392 Scrambler concept's 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 engine provides outstanding power and terrific torque (470 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. This distinctive little pickup truck was very competent and adaptable, comparable to the CJ-7, but with a larger 103-inch wheelbase and a lengthy rear overhang for improved luggage space.įast forward four decades, and the Jeep Scrambler 392 idea adds a powerful twist to the CJ-8's fun, open-air roots.
